4our 5ided Trian6le. was conceived in the summer of 2002 by cK and John deLarge (Jay was there, too) as a possible band name. Not because they wanted to start a band or even knew how to play any instruments (they didn't)... but because making up band names is fun try it - just start with a genre. Anyway, cK drew the trian6le. and added the numbers to the name John had aped from an episode of Tales From the Crypt that starred Rosanna Arquette (later, we found an old sci-fi movie with that title, too. Haven't seen it yet). Nothing came of it for months until cK had to come up with a name for his radio show on WXBA (the NEW sound of Long Island, 88X Brentwood!), and since he couldn't be troubled to think up something new, he went with something old and unused. 4our 5ided Trian6le. stayed on the air (intermitently, due to school being out and whatnot... it was like we had seasons of programming!) from '03 to '05, regularly hosted by Elmo Machete with rotating cohosts - Fat Randy/Randy Gordo/Randose was there most often, and John came by a bunch but rarely said anything. Matt Farrell famously said only two words in his one appearance, and this girl Amanda beat them all by never saying word one. When Elmo's sister Becca came by, he usually made her read the weather. Every Wednesday (and sometimes Tuesdays!), 456. ruled the limited broadcast range of WXBA from 4 'till 5, and you could always be sure at least Chelsea Farrell was listening. It came back here and there with Moe Esch as a cohost, but we lost our in at Brentwood high school and sort of just turned the new radio shenanigans into the (as-of-yet unreleased) 456. Stoner Radio. From 2004-05, 4our 5ided Trian6le. collaborated with the (slowly dying) Dysfunctional Skater Family, helmed by Marc Christo, on the "skate" movie Groundhog's Day. A mish-mash of stunts filmed for the unrealized 456. project Shenanigans, new bits shamelessly borrowing the Jackass spirit and the same old spots from DSF's Punk, but skated a little better. It served as DSF's swan song of sorts and basically allowed Marc to seamlessly melt into the 456. fold with his unprecedented aweXomeness. Not a whole hell of alot of people have seen it, but the movie exists to be one day mass produced and whored on DVD... or, whatever technology swallows DVDs whole. Right after Groundhog's until '06, we tried working on a script for a full-length feature that'd been written in and worked on since 2004, Savage. It started out starring Elmo, Matt, Chris Tudisco, James Laudano, and (my hero & yours) Savage as himself. A whole act or so was filmed, Marc was the Director of Photography, then shit fell apart with timing, money and the camera rental/leasing/eventual buying. Moe Esch stepped into Tudisco's role when production was picked back up again, the same act was filmed AGAIN as well as a bunch more shit, and Randy took over from Marc only to eventually leave 456. due to, I dunno... let's call them "creative differences?" Anyway, Morgan helped rewrite it after things (inevitably) fell apart again, and the script still exists, so... yeah. Around the Savage second try 456. also got heavily into the production aspects of a new season of the Not Quite Professional Wrestling Federation's Deadzone as well as its' special Koo Koo Ka Choo Per Views. Since that's good n' over with now, don't be surprised if we find a way to get THAT to you on DVD, either. Resolving to actually get something fucking DONE, cK and Moe Esch sat down and hammered out a script for a short horror/comedy in the Spring of '07, using half a script written with John, Marc, and good pal Endless Mike in mind to star as well as an ad-libbed short done by Matt & Randy in Matt's shed one night. Shorts are easier to tackle first in lieu of features, and horror is economically the soundest way to go since blood is so easy to make tons of on the cheap. Over the summer the Trian6le. called in at least an afternoon's worth of labor from anyone who doesn't/didn't hate us, used all our Islip connections and actually completed principal photography in August. Now, editing and whatnot. This thing, we're gonna try and make it so you can go and see. So, yeah. 4our 5ided Trian6le., makin' stuff since 2003. Still not a real business.
